Chatpata Snack – Vegetable Bajjis

The weekend is here…yippee! Time to sit back and relax without work or school for two full days :) Evenings can have you wondering what to make as a snack…so here’s a recipe for a chatpata spicy vegetable bajji that will have you craving for more...

You will need:

Besan flour - 2 cups
Rice flour – 3 tbsps
Veggies – Carrot, Cabbage, green beans & Onions (small cut)
Red chilli powder – 2-3 tsps. (add more if you want it more spicy)
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Make a thick batter of the besan flour and rice flour using water as required. Add salt, red chilli powder and mix well. Add the cut vegetables to the batter. Heat oil. To test if oil is ready leave a drop of batter in the oil. If it rises immediately then the oil is hot enough otherwise heat for a few more minutes. Drop batter in oil and fry on both sides till golden brown. Serve hot with tomato ketchup/sauce.

Yummy vegetable bajjis are ready!

This recipe is my entry for the event "Whats-Your-Favourite- Snack" started by Hima of SnackoRama

Vegetable bajjis are my favourite any day snack and all thanks to mom-in-law who taught me how to make it :)

Hope you will like it too..
